use camel milk to reduce the destructive effects of acute cadmium poisoning in testes. 50 male rats were divided into 5 groups: The first group was considered as a control group, in the second to fifth groups, on the 7th day after the start of the study, cadmium chloride was administered intraperitoneally at a dose of 2 mg/kg, The second group was considered as cadmium treated control group,; The third group received oral treatment from camel milk from the first day of the study, the fourth group received injectable vitamin C treatment, and ; the fifth group received treatment with a combination of camel milk and vitamin C. Sampling was performed to prepare histopathology sections and evaluate oxidative stress on days 12 and 21 after the start of the study.
In the cadmium group, seminiferous tubules showed severe necrotic changes in all germ cell lines. The lesions in the camel milk and vitamin C treatment groups were similar to the cadmium groups and there was no improvement compared to the above mentioned groups. Vitamin C treatment had no effect on glutathione peroxidase activity on days 5 and 14 after induction of cadmium poisoning. Treatment with vitamin C did'nt reduce the amount of malondialdehyde, on day 5 after induction. Only on day 14th, treatment with vitamin C significantly reduced malondialdehyde levels. Consumption of camel milk also did not improve oxidative stress indices in testicular tissue of cadmium chloride poisoned rats
