Abstract

The most effective methods for HPAI prevention in domestic and wild birds are biosecurity and vaccination, Therefore different species of domestic and wild birds of Isfahan birds garden were vaccinated using H5 inactivated highly pathogen avian influenza (HPAI) vaccine and monitored by HI test; The HPAI - H5(Re-6& Re-8) vaccine made by China HVRI were used according to the instructions of the manufacturer and Iran veterinary organization for vaccination of different aquatic , shorebirds and terrestrial specious. The most important challenge was restraining, controlling stress, injecting vaccines and finally blood sampling of the studied birds. In current study based on the birds population a number of 63 birds belonging to different breeds were selected and first blood sampling carried out in before vaccination and second blood sampling carried out in three weeks after booster dose injection. According to the HI test results, the average titer for H5-Re-8 increased from 2.7 to 4.4 and for H5-Re-6 from 2.2 to 3.9, so in both substrains the titer increased by 3.4 totally. The coefficient of variation of titers changed from 70.6% to 39.6% in H5-Re-8 and from 82.1% to 45.2% in H5-Re-6 and totally improved by 68% in both substrains. Among the studied birds, the best immune response was related to the chickens and in the later stages it was related to the pheasants, horned hens, partridges, peacocks, turkeys, aquatic, ostriches, and finally the hunting birds. Therefore, using H5(Re-6&Re-8) vaccine increased the immunity of birds against HPAI- H5NX .
